The purpose of this project was to professionally create multiple deliverables related to social media corruption. This consisted of submitting a white paper, infographic, and multimedia presentation to my ENGL 3130 class in the Spring of 2018. The project met the following outcomes:
* Critically choosing a technology to address a rhetorical situation
* Produce appropriate and ethical text and graphics for displaying research data and findings
* Understanding writing and design as a collaborative and iterative process of research
This was the first major visual graphic project that I worked on during my UCCS Technical Writing Program tenure. I was able to combine my technical writing experience with graphic design while fusing it with the required objectives of writing ethical text in an infographic and writing about the research results. Overall, this is one of the most interesting projects that I worked on during my UCCS Technical Writing Program tenure. One of the key takeaways from this project was the lengths and amount of propaganda that is generated by non-democratic countries to block or thwart Western culture and any influence within these countries. The other key takeaway was the ethical choices used to represent research findings and the effect on social media users in censored countries.
